Planning to book tickets for The National Wedding Show at Earls Court 1-3 Oct!
http://www.nationalweddingshow.co.uk/london-show~1-3-oct-2010

With everything under one roof, I should get some tips, ideas and some more things ticked off the list! £15 per ticket on Sat 2nd, open from 10-6pm.

There is the possibility of it becoming overwhelming – so much information thrown at you…or it could be helpful – will soon find out…

I have to say I love cupcakes! The fact they can be personalised means they are so versatile – for birthdays, weddings! I ordered 6 from the Hummingbird bakery for a birthday, sent them my designs and wa-la – they turned out so sweet and impressive! I would have been happy receiving them!

Cookbook

SO, I decided to make some! I bought the cookbook last year, and have made good use of the cupcake and cookies section! However – I don’t know whether its the wording, or am I just stupid! It says 20-25mins for cupcakes, here of course we have muffin or fairy cake sized cases, so I used muffin sized ones (who wants a mini iced fairy cake?!) My fan oven is either very hot or their instructions are wayyy off! After 17mins they were burnt!

Decided to make a second batch…this time, turned down the oven (from 170 to 160 degrees C) and set timer to 16mins…turned out fine! Although I did have to keep an eye on them!

The icing – they say don’t beat it otherwise it will turn runny – well…I’ve discovered the best way is not to beat it at all, to get that lovely thick yet spreadable consistency! The cream cheese frosting is delicious and I’m not a fan of frosting!

I guess its trial and error with recipes!

Snap snap!

Booked wedding photographer – cannot wait for the big day! His photos are amazing! http://blog.kenlamphotography.com/

Another thing ticked off the list!

Can’t wait to do this on Sunday 5 September! Just waiting to get my bike voucher from work so I can pick up my fancy new Specialized bike!

Test rode it – nice easy ride, good gear change, and best of all – under 10kg! Carrying it up those 3 flights of stairs at home will be easy peasy!

Anyway here’s the link to sign up: http://www.bike-events.com/Ride.aspx?id=229
Its for the British Heart Foundation and costs £17 to sign up. Do it! 37 miles…will probably drive to Richmond! Look at the route map! Food, drink and entertainment afterwards, lets hope the weather is nice!

I don’t know about you, but I thought planning a wedding would be a doddle – I thought I was always the organised one, but actually, decision making skills are what you need! Find something and book it! I am a bit of a ‘think about it for 2 days’ kind of person, then I would research 10 other options, and eventually go back to the original option and book – it is a pain I know!

Wedding is next year, so far booked 2 things – been told to slow down….am going to try and not do stuff for a month or two, but search for dress continues…

Talking about dresses, I have tried on more than 30! It is madness…I dont know how people instantly know its ‘the one’ that ‘smiles back at you’ when its on – I haven’t found one that smiles – they are all looking at bit samey now – have I tried on too many?! Lady in Morgan-Davies – amazingly quick – I think I tried on 10 dresses in 30 mins – is that a world record?!

Day to day ramble!

Just, whatever!
